	HISTORY

			In March 1913 an agricultural machine factory was established as part of a join stock Company H. Cegielski in Poznan. This factory became a basic point for our long time production and business activity. In the year 1952 the company started its own activity under the name Metallurgical Works "Pomet".The steel foundry, the machining shop and the pattern shop were built from 1953-1963. In 1968 started up of non ferrous metals foundry in Piła.
			In 1994 "Pomet" was transformed into the form of a join stock Company. One year later we took part in the industrial group of the National Investment Found.


	POMET S.A.COMPANY INFORMATION

			We are Polish a foundry located in Poznań and have 90 years of experience in casting of carbon and low alloy cast steels as well as aluminium and copper alloys .
			Production program of the foundry includes a wide range of castings for marine diesel engines and spare parts, ship equipment, rai l way rolling stock, mini ng equipment, container corner fittings, valving and others having single weight since 5 till 6000 kgs.
			We supply complicated castings meeting worldwide standards in a range of quality and technical requirements. We employ 360 highly qualified engineers and workers. POMET S.A. has its own design and technological departments.We have implemented quality assurance system according to ISO 9001 version 2000.
			Appr. 30%of general turnover exists as export supplies to Europen Union In our further developments we are going to modernize the technology of castings performance to provide for their higher quality and application of effective techniques of environment protection according to worldwide standards.


	GENERAL RANGE OF PRODUCTI ON

			I.Carbon and low alloy steels castings single weight since 5 till 6000 kgs, capacity up to 5000 tons per year, serial production of castings having max.weight up to 250 kgs. II.Aluminium alloys castings single weight since 0,01 till 150 kgs, capacity up to 150 tons per year, gravity castings in green sands and/or die casting. III.Copper alloys castings single weight since 0,01 till 300 kgs, capacity up to 150 tons per year, gravity casting in green sands and/or die casting. IV.Grey and nodular cast iron castings. V.Heat treatment division with full computer controlling system. VI.Machining. VII. Supervision of all production processing by our QC in accordance with ISO 9002. VIII. Model preparation and our own tool shop IX.Lab.services -nondestructive testing, chemical composition analysis etc.
